Alexa’s 1st Easter Egg Hunt

IMG_1209
Today, Alexa experienced her first Easter egg hunt. Some friends of mine from BSF and their families hold a big Easter egg hunt every year and we were thrilled to be a part of this special event. Many families attended where the Gospel was shared, a blessing was given to thank Jesus for His sacrifice on the cross for our sins and His resurrection from the dead, and an Easter bunny was available to take photos with the kiddos. Lots of fun and quite an experience for lil’ Alexa. I don’t know if she enjoyed finding the eggs, shaking them, watching the other kids, or petting the neighbor’s dogs the most. Here’s a few pics of Alexa in action.

IMG_1211I love her little squat. It was so sweet. Alexa actually gave this pink egg to a little boy who walked by. The daddy tried to convince his son to give the egg back to Alexa but with no luck. Alexa didn’t seem to mind.

IMG_1215Alexa was very perplexed by the “goodies” inside. She enjoyed shaking them but she didn’t realize you could open the eggs and find a surprise. Too bad we’ll have to eat most of the candy for her this year.

IMG_1218Alexa didn’t know what to do about the Easter bunny (a mascot) who was there to take photos with the kids. She just stared and stared at him.
