Miss Bright Eyes (Yes, that's her umbilical cord stump. I guess she just isn't ready to let go of mommy yet :)
It's hard to believe it but Alexa Hope is one-month-old today! Now I really understand when folks ask new parents how they are doing and the parents say, "Well, the baby is still alive." Our sentiments exactly!! We made it a month - thank you Lord! I suppose she was officially four-weeks-old on April 10th. I don't know exactly how we're supposed to keep track, I'm a new mommy after all.
Alexa has acquired so many skills - she can coo and gurgle. She has found and focused on her hand once (I think). She is very adept at tracking with those blue eyes. She loves the ceiling fan, daddy's crazy faces, and her board books. She enjoys kicking her legs and checking out her mobile. She has made it through three worship services - ty for pacifiers. She's the sweetest little sleeper. And, I am pretty sure she has the Guinness Book of World Records for projectile poop (or what we term "explosions"). Um . . . yes, I'm a gushing mommy who thinks she's pretty much the best thing ever.
I was worried Alexa wasn't gaining enough weight but it seems with her rubberband arms and sumo wrestling belly - she definitely isn't starving!
